Who writes here

Sophie De Clercq has worked the Belgian gambling beat since 2019 and works through every operator himself with an emphasis on support and limits. Lives and works in Brugge.

The site runs on affiliate income; the assessment is not altered by it. Whoever is not on the white list reads it here.

How we test. we create a player account ourselves, stake money with Bancontact, pull the money out and time the whole route. We hold the name against both of the regulator's lists and recalculate the wagering requirement ourselves. Anything that could not be checked is cut at the final edit.

Limits, age and EPIS

The rules on player protection here run considerably more strictly than a few years ago with effects you cannot route around. The standard limit runs to €200 per week per site.

Self-exclusion in Belgium is handled centrally, through EPIS: the block covers every licence holder in the country. Unlicensed sites are not connected to it. The age bar moved on 1 September 2024 from 18 to 21 for casino, hall and betting; only the National Lottery stays at 18. A trial account falls under it too.
